New OC's! & not before time in my oppinion, being so busy, its nice to get on my Cintiqe and come up with my new stuff; for those of you wondering just how many more members of the 9 there are, I've decided to start winding down and finishing off my rosta and get started on the last few OC's, this update includes charactures that will play important roles in the future fanfics I've got planned. Hope you like!

PROFILE:

The youngest of the Shot-twins, Swiftshot is a light-hearted, sweet natured and kindly ray of sunshine to everyone around her; as beautiful and elegant as she is proficient and deadly, she’s renowned as ‘the Valkyrie of Kaon’ for her talent for picking off the most elusive cons, even the ones who hid deep in the depths of the Decepticon capital of Cybertron. When it comes to sniping Swiftshot is considered to be ‘soft’ on her targets, but in actuality she likes to make sure they die as quickly and painlessly as possible; i.e. if she sees her target and he’s enjoying a cube of energon, she’ll wait until he’s finished before she takes the shot, and likewise with many more of her targets, she’ll wait until their at their most relaxed or content before she chooses to end their lives. As with all snipers, sniping is a very personal affair for her, and it’s not something she takes for granted or allows herself to become blasé about; every life lost, regardless of whether their good or evil, is a tragic thing, and after every mission she secretly say’s a prayer to Primus, asking for forgiveness, and asking for those she has killed to find peace in the well of allsparks.

Swiftshot and her sister Blackshot first joined the 9 at the behest of Majestrix Prima; having worked under the Prima for a number of years before she formed the 9, Swiftshot worked as security detail and nanny for her daughters when they were still very young while Blackshot became her second-in-command, serving her loyally throughout the war and issuing her orders while she remained in hiding. Unlike her sister, the glass is always half full in Swiftshot’s opinion, and her positive outlook on life (even during the worst years of the war) never failed to keep moral up, even if everyone one else was of a much more negative persuasion. Being Novastar, Moonshine and Eclipse’s nanny were some of the best years of her life, and having fallen in love with the three little femmes, Swiftshot made a promise to herself that she would one day become a mother and have a sparkling of her own, and having been the former mistress and guardian of the foundries, it was a promise Majestrix said she’s be happy to help her fulfil. Being twins, Swiftshot and her sister share a spark-bond that connects them together at the empathic level, the two can sense/feel each other’s emotions and what their thinking...

Or at least, that’s how it’s supposed to work...

Towards the second age of the war Swiftshot began to sense subtle changes in her sister’s mind; darker, more ‘unreadable’ thoughts began to move in where her positive attitude used to be, Swiftshot put it down to the demands of combat and the emotional and mental strain of seeing their friends injured, or even die in the line of duty taking their toll. Thinking that she wasn’t there enough for her sister, Swiftshot requested to be transferred in the 9’s command division so she could work alongside her; sensing the change in her sister too, Majestrix permitted her request and made her the commander of the Stealth and Reconnaissance unit. For a long while it seemed like it worked, but as Blackshot’s actions began to cause more and more controversy within the ranks of the 9, Swiftshot began to wonder just what was going on, and why she was beginning to sense her sister drifting further and further away. Despite some of her more battle-hardened comrades thinking she’s seriously out of touch with reality, Swiftshot is one of the very few in the 9 who still holds hope; hope that the war will end, and hope that peace will be restored to a broken Cybertron.

As a sniper Swiftshot is both patient and swift, she can wait days, even weeks for her target to show up, and once they’re in her range she can move into position, take the shot and be gone before anyone realizes what’s happened. Her particular talent was going after the most elusive cons, the ones that were smart to stay hidden and well away from the spotlight (you’re less likely to cause a stir with your enemies that way), and were notoriously difficult to get to by any other means. Because of her altmode’s stealth capabilities Swiftshot could go deep into Decepticon territory without being detected, even going into the very heart of Kaon posed no threat to her. For years the capitol was gripped with fear as high-ranking Decepticon commanders, generals and intelligence personnel were being assassinated at the hands of an unseen assassin; it caused so much of a stir that Megatron himself came back to Kaon to search for the perpetrator, and upon hearing of the Decepticon commander’s arrival Swiftshot beat a hasty retreat, she knew she was good but even she wasn’t willing to push her luck with the most powerful Decepticon alive! Needless to say the cons searched for her for weeks, but by the time the Decepticon leader called off the search, both she and the 9 were long gone. Swiftshot is armed with a shoulder-mounted high-powered sniper rifle capable of short, mid and long range fire, plus she has inbuilt full-sensory weapon-sync which enables her to pull off shots of incredible accuracy over vast distances in the most difficult conditions. As well as standard-issue lazar and plasma guns, Swiftshot is also equipped with defector-shields, enabling her to deflect lazar-fire, plasma-fire, bullets and even plasma-bomb explosions, allowing her to go into a full on fire-fight without being hit, and enabling her and anyone else encased within her shield to get out safely. In addition to her sniping skills Swiftshot is also quite a good hacker, her nanite payload and interface-cables can interface with any hardware/software and get whatever data she needs, or upload any viruses to screw things up for the enemy.

ALTMODE:

Swiftshot’s altmode is the Cybertronian HR038 Stealth-Class Manta-wing; one of the much larger stealth-class spacecraft, the HR038 is a force to be reckoned with. At 70ft long with a wingspan of 180ft the HR038 is built for long-term missions and absolute stealth, its wide frame and blended-wing-body design allows for much more efficient aerodynamic capabilities and deflection from long-range scanners, its slim fuselage doesn’t allow much room for bombs, missiles or rockets but what it lacks in heavy fire-power it makes up for in its sniping arsenal and stealth capabilities. The outer plating of the HR038 is covered in a specialized nanite ‘skin’ that can deflect and even absorb radar pings and scanner beams, allowing it to go undetected even in the thickest field of detection systems; the nanites also possess a full light-spectrum distorting camouflage field (or FLSDC for short) that enables the whole craft to disappear from sight. Its underside ion-plasma engines allow it hover silently for long periods of time and its three main engines allow it to reach speeds in excess of over 4.500mph. Equipped with her high-power ion-plasma sniper rifle that’s kept in the undercarriage when in altmode, as well as two auxiliary plasma-guns located on the underside of the canopy that can pack a heavy punch, the HR038 can catch up to a target during a high-speed fight, as well as get well within range of a stationary target, and when really up close and personal Swiftshot’s interface cables double up as tentacles that can grab and manipulate objects as good as her hands. Swiftshot’s deflector-shield also work when she’s in altmode, enabling her avoid both missile and rocket-fire.
